2025 Potluck Cancelled

Hello Campers,

Thank you to everyone who RSVP’d and completed our survey. Based on the RSVP numbers, the 2025 Seasonal Potluck is cancelled.

Your feedback was excellent and gave us great ideas for future events. Many of you are interested in a potluck or other gatherings—this year’s timing just wasn’t right for a lot of folks. Next year, we’ll share a few date options and let everyone vote so more people can participate.

We also heard what kinds of events you’re excited about, and we’ll use the winter months to plan some fun get-togethers.

If you’re here for the classic Lazy Rock vibe — rest, relax, and recharge on your own terms—that’s great too!

For those who asked about the seasonal campfire socials: they’ll continue as usual.

Thanks again for sharing your thoughts and for choosing to spend time at our little slice of heaven.

Seasonal Survey 2025

License of Occupation 2026

Hello Campers!

It’s that time of year again! We’d like to thank you for being part of the Lazy Rock community and are excited to welcome you back for another season!

———————————————–
Fee updates for the 2026 season:

As part of the gradual phase-out of grandfathered rates, some seasonal guests will see an adjustment in this year’s License of Occupation (LOO). Guests already paying the current seasonal rate will see no change. For those receiving an increase this year, please be assured there will be no additional adjustment for the 2027 season.

We recognize that pricing changes are never easy, but with these adjustments, our seasonal rates remain below or within comparable market rates in the region. We continue to approach changes carefully, balancing fairness to long-term guests with the sustainability of the park. We appreciate your understanding.

Payments may be made at any time through e-transfer or by paying your Square invoice online, in any amount, provided the balance is paid in full by April 1st, 2026.

A friendly reminder: if you are not returning for the 2026 season, your trailer must either be scheduled for removal by October 19th, 2025 or have winter storage fees paid on or before October 1st, 2025.

LOO changes for the 2025 season:
Seasonals – Park Rules and Regulations “Schedule A”

Visitors: The names submitted on the License of Occupation are the only individuals paid to be on your site. If you wish to have more than two (2) visitors at one time, you must request permission in advance by email with a minimum of one (1) weeks’ notice. All visitors must check in at the office, pay the visitor fee (unless charged to your account by request), sign the waiver, and park in overflow parking. Day visitors must leave the park by 10 pm, and overnight visitors must leave by 11 am the next day. Seasonal sites without full-time children may receive, upon request, up to six (6) complimentary visitor passes per season for grandchildren or other minor family members under 18; standard visitor fees apply thereafter. Management reserves the right to limit or deny visitor access during peak periods. Noncompliance will result in a penalty of double the visitor rate, applied to the Primary Family’s account.

Some sections have also been adjusted slightly for clarity and to reduce redundancy. We strongly recommend that you review this document in full, as it outlines your rights and responsibilities.

———————————————–
Completing your LOO for 2026

You can complete your License of Occupation (LOO) at any time before October 1st 2025.  Once your seasonal deposit is paid, the license will be signed by Lazy Rock and emailed back to you.

It is extremely important that we have your correct email address listed under the “Primary Occupant” section of the license form and the form is filled out correctly in full.

This form can be completed using any smart device, (phone, tablet, computer etc) and does not need to be printed unless you want it for your personal records.

July 2025 Seasonal Update

Hello Campers!

Just a quick update on a few changes around the park — starting with the beach! 🏖️

Before we dive into the awesome updates, a quick reminder: swimmers 🤽 and beachgoers take priority at the beach area. You’re more than welcome to fish 🎣 off the beach docks, but if other guests come down to enjoy the water, please head over to the designated fishing dock or take a break until the beach is clear again. Thanks for helping keep the space fun and fair for everyone!

We’ve added some much-needed shade to the beach with brand new covered picnic tables!
We know some of you are already eyeing them for your own sites — and we get it! While we’d love to bring that kind of upgrade park-wide, we’ve got a long list and limited time. So for now, they’re just part of the beach experience… but hey, never say never!

Next Seasonal Fire

July 19, 2025

Unfortunately we were rained out the past few (including a downburst/tornado!!).

Hopefully this one works out so we can finally enjoy a night by the fire, swap some stories, and catch up without campers being tossed into the air like a Twister movie! 🐄

New Park Signage

While we updated you all in the winter about the new park signage being revamped, we’ve since updated another round. We’re just waiting to instal the new fishing dock signs and we should be all set for a while (unless a creative urge strikes again, or more clarity is required =P)

New Store Items

We’ve got some fresh new bumper stickers in! If you’d like to update your collection or show off the Lazy Rock vibe on your vehicle, trailer, water bottle — or anywhere that needs a little extra oomph — come grab one!

https://roomservice.lazyrock.ca/product-tag/souvenirs

We are also bringing in a few new clothing items that should be available soon, including some cozy fall attire! We’ll update you all once they go live on the site!

Thanks again for being awesome seasonal guests and we hope you’re all enjoying the season so far!

April 2025 Seasonal Update

Hello Campers!

Lazy Rock opens on May 9th!

We are looking forward to another awesome year with all of you and can’t wait to have you back here for the season!!

Mother nature has not been cooperating as far as the weather is concerned but it’s finally starting to look warmer and we have been able to start getting the park ready to open.

Trailer Summerization

If you need your trailer summerized don’t forget to book it on the seasonal website.https://roomservice.lazyrock.ca/seasonal-campers/seasonal-store/

Picnic Tables Delay

So we are working hard trying to get all the picnic tables repaired before opening but mother nature has had other plans for us, if your picnic table is missing on your arrival fear not, it’s simply at the day spa (shop) and will be returned to you soon!

Updates

Almost all of the park signage has been updated or replaced.

New beach seating has been installed.

Dog poo poo stations have been installed along the back forest road.

New love seat and TV have been added to the chalet.

Renovations continue on the Bathrooms and Showers and will be ready for open

Store is restocked and ready to go along with some new items for this year.

Firewood rack installed for the seasonal fire pit.

Some additional rock borders have been installed.

Wilbur the chipmunk has moved into the shop and is ready for the season, he has tunneled out at least 5LBs of gravel from under the foundation so it looks like he is anticipating a lot of peanuts.

Swans!

Some swans have been hanging around the park and we hope they decide to stay for the season!

New Souvenirs!

This year we have added another new souvenir to our product line which is a tiny paddle!

You can purchase this item with a magnet or a small leather strap. T-shirts have also been restocked should you have been waiting for one.

That’s all for now, see you soon!

March 2025 Seasonal Update – Reminder

We Love E-transfers!

Updates:

 Ermines are back!

So when we first saw this picture from our camera under the house, which monitors our sewage pumping system, we thought a teddy bear had moved in! 😆 After further inspection, we realized it was an ermine who had apparently decided to move in with us!

That definitely explains why we’ve had zero mice this winter!

Forthwith, Charisma has named her Emily, and we’re super happy to have her here keeping our mice population under control! 🏕️🐾

So far she has been very respectful of our domicile which is great considering she’s not paying rent. But we will be monitoring for any destructive or party behaviour in which case we will relocate her to the “Mallard”. 😉  We are not sure if she is related to the previous ermines we had here but we’re glad she’s here and i’m sure she will find all the tasty mousing areas around the park keeping Lazy Rock mice freeish (unless she full, I mean you can only eat so much) If we are lucky, she and her offspring will find the previous accommodations like the Shower House utility room totally accessible for her and her kits. We will make sure we put a few welcome mats out. 😁

February 2025 Seasonal Update

Hello Campers!

We hope you are all having a great winter!

Here are some updates for the 2025 season:

Shower and Bathroom Renovations

The showers and bathrooms renos are underway! We expect them to be looking like new again for this spring. :D.

Beach Seating and Shade

We have been diligently working  in the shop on permanent seating for the beach. We have so far competed new permanent loveseats for the gazebo, and permanent chairs for the beach area and are now working on covered picnic tables which will provide some much needed shade at the beach. 😀 We have some other ideas for shade at the beach which we are working on and will update you if that becomes a reality for this year. 🙂

General Park Updates

We were able to complete several tasks in the fall  before it started snowing, here are a a few of the updates so far:

  • New rock borders! We have placed many rocks around key areas in the park where campers were driving over the grass and essentially eating away at our greenspace! It looks awesome so far and goes well with our name “Lazy Rock”.
  • Fishing Dock path now has a rock border and widened path, new signage will be added this spring.
  • Garbage and recycling doors have been renovated with new signage and you can now better see and identify the doors and what they are for.
  • Annual grass seeding was completed.
  • A ton of miscellaneous maintenance items as usual.
  • We installed our own weather station so we now have Lazy Rock Realtime weather available!

Snow! And boy, has it ever! ❄️

We’ve had quite a bit of snow — check out the pictures below for a peek at our winter wonderland. While it’s totally up to you whether to remove the snow from your trailer roof, we wanted to give you a heads-up about potential conditions.

🤔 What Should You Do?

It’s completely up to you whether you want to remove the snow. If the temperatures stay cold, the fluffy snow shouldn’t pose much risk. However, if we get rain, that light snow can become significantly heavier, increasing the load on your trailer’s roof.

If you decide to come clear it, please let us know in advance — and be prepared for deep snowSnowshoes or really big boots will be your best bet!

What do we do at the park?

In general, we do not clear the snow off the roofs of any of our trailers. We’re comfortable with the roof construction of our trailers and confident in their ability to handle typical snow loads.
However, we do clear the snow from our gazebos and the office roof due to their design. We’ve also had to clear snow off our house roof in the past when drifting causes 4 to 6-foot snowdrifts to accumulate on the front corner, creating an uneven load — which, is bad juju.

Hope this helps!
