License of Occupation 2024

Hello Campers!

It’s that time of year again!  We would like to thank you for your continued business and welcome you back for another year at Lazy Rock! πŸ™‚

Please note the following changes for the 2024 season:

In response to rising operational expenses and to align with regional averages, there will be an adjustment to the seasonal site costs for many of our park members as seen in this year’s LOO.

Making this decision wasn’t easy. Our aim is to balance fair pricing while adjusting to market trends. Those affected by this increase will benefit from a locked-in, grandfathered rate for the next several years, ensuring a continued quality experience at our park. We thank you for understanding.

Payment plans are available, allowing for incremental payments over the winter. If this suits your needs, please inform us so we can tailor your seasonal invoice appropriately.

Friendly reminder that if you are not returning πŸ™ for the 2024 season your trailer must be removed or winter storage fee paid on or before October 1st 2023.

Completing your LOO for 2024

You can complete your License of Occupation (LOO) at any time before October 1st 2023.  Once your seasonal deposit is paid, the license will be signed by Lazy Rock and emailed back to you.

It is extremely important that we have your correct email address listed under the “Primary Occupant” section of the license form.

This form can be completed using any smart device, (phone, tablet, computer etc) and does not need to be printed unless you want it for your personal records.
Please use the link below to fill out the form for your 2024 License of Occupation.

Looking forward to another wonderful season with you all!

June 20th 2023 Seasonal Update

Hello Campers!

Few updates for you all πŸ˜€

Fire Ban

Fire ban is still on -.- Looks like rain might be coming soon so fingers crossed! We did have someone here with a gas firepit and it was pretty cool and better then an iPad tuned to the fireplace channel.

Mowing

Just as an FYI, due to software limitations, when booking a seasonal mowing and choosing a date and time for your mow,  the actual mowing of your lawn will occur at anytime within that week based on weather and other factors. We will work to make this more clear when booking.

Vanilla Cones

In an effort to balance stock, stop eating the chocolate ones. We’re totally kidding but the vanilla ones are awesome too!

Seasonalboat rack storage.

We need to make a change as far as boat storage is concerned on the seasonal boat rack. Starting July 1st 2023 boat slots will no longer be free of charge. All seasonal guests will need to ensure their slot by this time for an annual fee of $20. The fee will go towards fixing the rack so it is easier to get boats on and off the rack and will cover the cost of an additional rack once required.

Main Dock Repairs

You may or may not have noticed a barrel missing on the side of the main dock.  This is being replaced along with all the barrel straps on both docks. The majority of the straps have been replaced but due to a miscalculation we have had to order more OOPS.

Lake Temperature

27C!! Wow its awesome see you out on the lake!

Geese POOP

Ah yes our favorite feathered friends with their fluffy kindred geese children? Gooselings? Smaller “pooping machines” have landed and are crapping their way across the beach.  We have been combating this in many ways and Kevin refuses to sit on the beach at 4AM with a garden hose sprayer. SO! Coming soon to our beach you will notice a lifelike coyote – don’t be startled and please pre-warn your pets so they don’t poop themselves when they see it.  =P It is of course completely fake, we just hope the birds don’t figure that out. It will move daily so expect to see it all over the beach standing watch against the poop machines. In addition, the automatic goose sprinkler sprayer doohickey that works 50% of the time will remain 50% vigilant at the right corner of the beach. So unless you want to play in the sprinkler if you see it up, it will possibly spray you, until you turn the dial to off. Feel free to turn it back on when you leave the beach.

Construction

As said in previous emails please ensure you are filling out the “Project Request Form” available on the seasonal website. Any Construction or projects of any kind will not be approved without the form being completed. Ensure you are listing all details and materials of your project on the form. This includes if not clear from earlier emails, digging holes of any kind, planting trees, gardens, screen rooms, sheds, decks, etc.

Bi-Weekly Seasonal Fires Coming Soon!

Details once it rains…

It will be BYOC (bring your own chair) :D.

How to fill a Dump Cart

  1. Remove 3β€³ fill cap and open vent cap on Black dump cart, Connect hose to tank, the clear transparent orange Rhino adapter goes on the trailer end of the connection.
  2. Pull Black valve only! And wait for the tank to empty, look down the vent hole on the dump cart to make sure you don’t overfill the cart!
  3. Once draining has ceased, close Black valve! Open the Grey valve for a few moments to flush the hose.
  4. Remove hose from trailer end to drain remaining contents still in the hose into the dump cart.
  5. Reattach hose to trailer, unattach from Black dump cart, and close dump cart 3β€³ fill cap and vent.
  6. Switch dump carts, you will be using the Grey dump cart now, connect hose and open vent like before.
  7. Pull Grey valve, when dump cart fills to about 1 inch from the vent hole close Grey valve, the cart is full and it’s time to switch to the second Grey dump cart.
  8. Rinse and repeat until all your tanks are empty.
